On March 26, Chinese tea brand Chagee Holdings Limited submitted an initial public offering (IPO) filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). At the same time, Chagee is opening its first store in the U.S. in Los Angeles this spring at the Westfield Century City Mall.

Founded in 2017 in Yunnan, China, Chagee has expanded rapidly, operating over 6,400 stores worldwide by the end of 2024. It emphasizes the concept of “New Chinese-style tea,” blending traditional Eastern tea culture with modern consumer preferences. Positioned as a premium, health-conscious, and elegant tea brand, it is best known for its freshly brewed teas and milk-based beverages. The menu features signature drinks such as Roasted Oolong Tea Latte, Ceylon Tea Latte, and Jasmine Green Tea Latte, which have gained widespread popularity.

Chagee’s U.S. expansion marks a significant step in introducing modern Chinese tea culture to a broader international audience. Tea lovers can look forward to the brand’s first Los Angeles store opening later this spring!
